Gallery 1 {Begin at the Beginning}

Welcome to week 1 !!

What are you beginning right now?
~or~
What have you just finished?

My photo: I'm deep inside of a personal transition, trying to balance my mind/body/soul connections. What I've realized is that there is so little movement packed into my days. Yes, I move from here to there but it's nothing vigorous. I work at an office, sitting in a chair for six hours a day. Then there's this thought that runs through my head: strong mind, strong body. You have no idea how soft my body is. All fluff, all bounce, very soft. I don't say this about myself in a negative way - it's a truth and I embrace it. But I want to change it.

My beginning: Movement. I just started a dance & physical training routine to build up my body's strength. I want my body to match what my mind knows it's capable of feeling: strong. And sometimes, I need to stop the convo in my head - get out of my own way - and just move. The path will create itself, I'm just going to follow it. I'm excited to see where I go.

If it's your first week here - hello & welcome! Please link directly to your blog post of flickr pic sharing this week's themed photo. Don't forget to share your picture in the flickr group.
1 photo per person!  Also... I'd love to invite you back here over the weekend to visit and comment on the other participant's photos. People love feedback :)

*Edited to add: woo hoo... i can now reply within the comments. thank you blogger!!

I feel you (so to speak) because I'm a natural softie too. It's yoga for me, and a daily power walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Off to do that right now—good luck!

it has taken me a long time to accept my soft bits. i am still working on this.

movement is good, i'm glad you have found something you like to do.

i think it's nice for people to know it doesn't have to be all gym, cardio, and couch to 5K's.

walking and dancing are beautiful and artistic expressions of movement, i add yoga as well.

i hope you find your balance.

Like you Bella, I have movement on my mind except through yoga. I love the new format that encourages us to write a bit about the prompt. Thanks for hosting!

I'm on board for the first time to join any kind of photo sharing group. This is wonderful way of sharing little miracles we see everyday in every little bit of life.

Thank you so much Bella for staring this platform of bringing creativity and moments together at one place..

I finally added exercise into my week's routine too.
It makes a big difference on my ability to refresh.
I like the phrase you added to your photo.
So very true. Good luck with your new routine.
Joining the 52 project for the first time:)

Movement is so important. I love to walk in the woods and hike because I don't realize I'm excercising that way. Easier to trick myself into it.

I'm very soft myself these days and, although I view it as a bit of a problem, my husband does not. ;)

I'm joining the photo project for the first time and really looking forward to seeing where it leads us all. Really excited!! Thank you for opening the way for us to take this journey.

Awesome beginning that will improve your life and you will begin to make it a part of an enjoyable life style!!!
1 step at a time.
I will be beginning to clear the clutter.....seriously!
Time to simplify. I think about it alot! I will begin with 1 thing at a time and keep, or gift, or thrift, or throw!!!

I linked to an old post about ~BEGIN~
It has become important to look back and unload some baggage, with the upcoming shift in my life and huge move to Florida.
My son returned home from Iraq. Check.
Started Yoga practice. Check.
Start a new Art Journal...NOT.
So this prompt, and post is my voice shouting out loud...I WILL START ARTING...on paper again!
~So there!~

Love ya Bella and 52 Photos project!

I love this prompt, too! I just recently pushed myself out of my comfort zone and found out that I liked something more than I thought I would. It's good to be a beginner because we experience what children are experiencing. They are being asked to try new things all the time. IT's good for us as adults to do the same!
