I took this photo last year at the end of October. I had just gotten home from a beautiful retreat held at the warm & sunny Outer Banks of NC where it still felt like summer. Autumn in NJ was unfolding right before me, and my neighborhood was looking freaking magnificent!
This was my alternate photo. I thought it was a tad too yellow, but a pumpkin blossom fit the theme so perfectly! This shot was taken a few weeks back on my apple picking trip.

this is such a lovely photo.
it's sad that the internet is always acting up like crazy here in our part of the world. could've visited the participants during the weekend. i am sneaking up now :D just to look at what the others have.
