Attack of the Apps

posted with permission: lomodroid.com

Confession:  I love my Motorola Droid 2.

When the time came to upgrade my cell phone plan, I chose a smartphone / data package for one reason alone:  the camera.  Specifically:  the camera apps.  Everything else the phone could do was just icing, really.

Choosing between and iphone and an android was easy: my service provider didn't offer iphone at the time and I was only willing to upgrade, not to stray.

The phone camera itself its pretty amazing.  It's got a sharp focus, scene settings, sizing options, ISO equivalent settings, and face detection. {sweet!}   It's always in my bag, so if I'm out and I don't have my big gear with me, I've got my phone.  The apps give my photos instant post process with dreamy and creative effects.

So I'd love to talk apps for a moment.  My absolute favorite app is Vignette.  I found photo above in the Vignette flickr pool and the photographer was kind enough to let me post it here.
Then there is Retro Camera and my newest obsession Pudding Camera (this one could quite easily become my fave if they come out with an English version!)

I love Instagram for iphone.  Love it!  I can't use it (boo) but I've installed both Hipstamatic and Instagram on my husband's iphone to familiarize myself with them.

Iphone users, you have an amazing photo print app called: Postal Pics.  Am I jealous?  Yes, yes I am.

~Today I would love you to leave a comment sharing your favorite camera app and a link to one of your app photos.~

The photo gallery is still open.  The theme is color ~ go post a picture!

I've got a great theme to share with you on Sunday and a F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. interview going up on Monday! Please follow @52photosproject on twitter for updates.
