Interview: Donna Wynn

When I first started this project, I had the support of so many friends who helped me tremendously by saying yes to being interviewed and participating every week with submissions.  I met Donna Wynn last year at Squam by the Sea. She is an artist who just recently began capturing life and art with her camera, and she loved the idea of using the photo prompts to challenge herself.
I'm blown away by her commitment, her desire to learn, and to watch from a distance how she is blossoming with her camera in hand.  I'm so happy to share this instant view of her work so far.  Welcome:

Theme: What I Love

The reason I smile first thing in the morning:
My wonderful hubby of 34 years!  Always wakes up happy and upbeat, ready to face the day (who couldn't smile!)

A place I love to visit:

New York City, I visit once a year, it is wonderful there!
Full of busyness and  utter magic!

A treat I love to gift myself:
Spending time in an art store, buying something new and fun!  Never looking at the clock. It doesn't get any better than that!

The time of day I most enjoy:
Early morning before my hubby wakes up, time to be with my thoughts and create something in my studio.

The substance of what nourishes me:
My faith, family love and my art work.

A color that brightens my world:
I love the color blue!  I choose it over and over again in my weaving and paintings!

Thank you Donna - for saying yes! - and for sharing this beautiful beginning of what's surely to be a lifelong artistic outlet for you :)

Bio:
I am soon to be 54 the 21st of this month and love my life!  I have two grown and married sons, so my hubby and I are finding our way in an empty nest! I am a full time Optician during the day and Artist as much as I can!!!  I love to practice hot yoga, knit socks, weave at my loom, paint watercolors and create artistic collage works. I am a newbie photographer and am always trying to capture a shot with my Canon Rebel T1i.   I have been writing a blog, Gentle Threads for a year and a half, (there you will find my heart) and I offer a selection of my art through my new Etsy Shop: Yogiknitgirl Designs.
